Youth Country Partner & Line Dance Workshop

Our community has seen a growing interest in country dancing from youth. Bear and I want to help our youth learn to dance, develop proper skills and etiquette, and feel seen in our community, which otherwise is often mostly geared for adults. We have a wonderful opportunity to bring more youth into the fold and help them grow into thoughtful, intuitive, and respectful dancers.

Learning to dance when you are young can inspire a lifelong hobby that supports physical exercise, socialization, and collaborative problem solving skills. It can grow confidence and sense of self-efficacy.

Let's get our youth on the dance floor!

Who:

Open to all ages 10-18. If your youth is slightly younger or slightly older than this age bracket, please reach out to lila@lhdancing.com and we can chat about how your youth would fit into this group.

Cost:

$35 per youth

This will include a lunch and beverage of choice from a small menu. Menu will be posted on the Facebook event. If your youth has any dietary restrictions, please reach out to lila@lhdancing.com to make arrangements.

Notes:

• This event is open to the public, you nor your youth needs to be an Elks member to register.

• Springfield Elks Lodge is generously providing lunch and non-alcoholic beverage service for your convenience. Lunch and beverage is included, but any additional items would be available for purchase. Most items are $2-6.

• Doors will open at 12:15 PM. Please allow time for your youth to be able to place their lunch order so we can have that ready for them during our lunch break, which will be around 2:45 PM.

• Pre-Registration Required!  Registration closes March 31, 2023. Limited spots are available; we want to make sure each youth gets personal attention.

• Please have your youth come prepared with appropriate dance footwear and clothing. This can be jeans, cowboy boots, sneakers, leggings, etc. 

• No outside food or drink allowed. Please let me know if you have any concerns about this.

• Fee payment is required to reserve your spot. Contact Lila to make payment arrangement. Payment can be made to Lila via cash, check, Venmo, or Zelle. 

• Fee is non-refundable.
• If your youth requires any special attention, including behavioral needs, dietary restrictions, physical limitations, allergies, etc., please let Lila know.
